New York( CNN Business) Netflix investors are celebrating the company's latest subscriber boom.

Netflix( NFLX) reported Tuesday that it added nearly 7 million new subscribers last one-quarter, about two million more than it expected. The vast majority, about 6 million, are from outside the United States.

The company expects to add another 9.4 million total subscribers before the year is over.
