
Washington( CNN) A federal magistrate on Monday ordered former national security consultant Michael Flynn to appear at a hearing next week to discuss plans for his eventual sentencing in the Russia investigation.

But the magistrate overseeing the case is showing impatience. Judge Emmett Sullivan ordered everyone back for a hearing next week, which would be Flynn's first tribunal appearance in seven months. Mueller's squad could also have a chance to drop some clues on how Flynn is helping their investigation, which is increasingly the target of assaults from President Donald Trump and his Republican allies.
